City Council
The City of Wolfforth is a Home Rule City, governed by a Mayor and five City Council Members. The Mayor serves a two-year term and is elected at-large. Council members also serve a two-year term but are elected at-large, by Place. Terms for the City Council are on a two year staggered basis such that two Council members and the Mayor are elected in even-numbered years and three Council members are elected in odd-numbered years. All powers of the City are vested in this elected City Council, which enacts legislation, adopts budgets, and determines policies.MAYOR

Dr. Charles Addington II has been involved in the City of Wolfforth in a leadership role for 25 years. He is a native of the Wolfforth area, attended Frenship Schools, then received B.S. and M.S Degrees from Texas Tech University, and a Medical Degree from UNTHSC. He is a practicing physician with a clinic in Lubbock, he is the Chief Administrative Medical Examiner for Lubbock County, he oversees Accent Care Hospice, oversees several ER’s in the panhandle region, and oversees SPEMS.
Mayor Addington was first elected to the City Council in 1999 and has held positions of both City Councilman and Mayor during that time. He has been involved with Wolfforth Fire and EMS for over 20 years and still participates as an advisor. He is one of Wolfforth’s finest leaders, and has led Wolfforth through many changes during his tenure as an elected official. He is extremely proud of Wolfforth and its advancement and growth, and is committed to its future.
He and his wife Louanne have been married for 32 years. They have two children, Chase and his wife Brittany and grandson Carter, and daughter Ashley Houchin, her husband Ky and their three grandchildren Kaybri Jo, Krew, and Kopper.
