It's a drought! Cut it out!
AS TEMPERATURES CONTINUE TO RISE, WE WOULD LIKE TO REMIND OUR CITIZENS THAT THE CITY OF WOLFFORTH IS STILL IN STAGE 3 OF OUR DROUGHT CONTINGENCY PLAN. WE HAVE BEEN IN STAGE 3 SINCE 2020. WHILE THE DROUGHT CONTINGENCY PLAN HAS CHANGED OVER THE YEARS, OUR NEED TO CONSERVE WATER HAS NOT. STAGE 3 PROHIBITS THE USE OF AN AUTOMATIC IRRIGATION SYSTEM. WATERING OF PLANTS AND LAWNS IS ONLY ALLOWED BY THE USE OF A HAND HELD HOSE, A WATERING CAN, OR A DRIP IRRIGATION SYSTEM. AS A REMINDER, ANY RUNOFF OF WATER, EVEN BY THESE METHODS, IS FORBIDDEN.
