Drought Contingency Plan/Landscape Irrigation

Wolfforth Water Schedule
With the purchase of water from the City of Lubbock we have rewritten our Drought Contingency plan.
We are currently in Stage 1 of the Drought Contingency Plan.
Here are a few highlights from Stage 1 of the Plan:

Landscape irrigation is now allowed on even/odd watering days, and up to 1.5 inches of water per irrigation zone per week.

So when can you water? Using the last digit of your house number, here is your schedule:

Monday/Thursday for customers with a street address ending in an even number (0, 2, 4, 6, 8, or no address), and

Tuesday/Friday for customers with a street address ending in an odd number (1, 3, 5, 7, 9),

The plan still limits the hours of watering to between the hours of 8:00 p.m. in the evening preceding the designated watering day and 10:00 a.m. on the morning of the designated watering day

A few more highlights from Stage 1 of the Plan:

Irrigation shall occur without water runoff, which can be accomplished by correctly cycling the sprinkler system and allowing time for the water to soak into the landscape between irrigation events.

Irrigation is limited to 1.5 inches per week.

Drip irrigation is allowed.

There are no restrictions on hand watering. New plant material may be irrigated on a more frequent basis until the new plant material is established, but only for 30 days.
