Treatment

The City of Wolfforth possesses a TCEQ Permit for a Texas Land Application Facility. Under this Permit, the City treats wastewater in a Facultative Lagoon – a manmade but natural ecosystem that is very effective in treating municipal wastewater.  From the Facultative Lagoon, the water is stored in irrigation ponds, and then used for irrigation on property owned by the City.

Sewer Treatment
  •  The City has three facultative lagoons that performs a bio chemical reaction to break down sewer waste.
  • Oxidizer and enzymes are added bi-weekly to maximize treatment.
  • Treated water is then released for land application.
