The
Planning and Zoning Department serves as the point for coordinating development functions for the public and other City departments. The Planning Staff is available to answer many questions concerning: zoning, setback requirements, subdivision regulations, rezoning matters, site plan review, annexation, property uses, variances, and special use permits.
The City of Wolfforth's Code Enforcement Officers are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for the citizens of Wolfforth by providing effective public service in the enforcement of Building, Public Nuisance, and Zoning Ordinances. Code Enforcement is responsible for preserving the quality and value of public and private property, and maintaining a high standard of living by eliminating conditions that threaten the health, safety, life and general welfare of the public.
Additionally, we work with several Boards and Commissions including the Planning and Zoning Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustments, and Capital Investment Advisory Committee.
The Planning and Development Services Department is responsible for the supervision and administration of various codes that regulate public health, safety, welfare, public works, business activities and consumer protection, building standards, land-use, or municipal affairs.
This includes:
- Building, mechanical, plumbing, gas, and electrical inspections
- Implementation of annexation plans
- Continued use and occupancy of structures
- Junked Vehicles
- Weeds and Rubbish
- Issuance of a Variance
- Enforcement of City Ordinance's
- Platting process
